While promoting his new "The Divide" film, director Xavier Gens (Hitman) revealed that he would love the chance to helm 20th Century Fox's reboot of "Daredevil."

If I make a 'Daredevil' movie, I would go in a completely different direction," he explained. "My vision of the character is much more a drama. For me it's important to include the origin of the character like in Richard Donner's 'Superman.' We saw him slowly become a superhero, but I think it's important to take time and stay realistic. It's also very important to let the director make his own vision of the character, not make a studio movie. 'The Dark Knight' is totally the vision of Nolan.

When asked who he would like to star in his movie, Gens replied:

For Daredevil I think Sam Worthington could be great and intense for this character. The villain depends on the story.

Let me the be the first to say...ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!!

Hitman was a horrible movie owed to terrible editing, unfathomable casting choices, and an unbelievable lack of character depth or even a plot. To add to that, he wants Sam Worthington as Daredevil? No way. Sam Worthington does not have the intensity to make the viewer believe he is in constant deep thought. Nolan was given creative freedom because he proved he could bring Gotham City and the caped crusader to life with a level of depth unseen in comic book movies. What the f**k has this guy done to earn that? Fool me once Mr Gens...

Daredevil needs a visionary director to bring life to the story's second most important character - Hell's Kitchen. It needs a director who can comfortably approach complex contradictions, like Daredevil being a devout Catholic, or the fact he is a lawyer by day, but vigilante by night. It needs an actor who can convincingly convey these contradictions with depth and subtlety, while having the physicality for the role.

A number of directors come to mind for this, Alfonso Cuaron, Sam Mendes to name a few. But only one actor could play both Matt Murdock and Daredevil. Michael c. Hall of Dexter fame.
