Jeremy Renner Worried That Bourne May Kill His Career

The Bourne Fallacy....

Entertainment Weekly caught up with Jeremy Renner to talk about his upcoming movies, which are Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, The Avengers and The Bourne Legacy, with the latter causing him some concern:

This offer wasn't about a movie, this was about a life choice. In 'Mission,' it's a Tom Cruise movie. 'The Avengers' is ensemble-y, but [Bourne] is a game changer. I thought, 'This is going to affect how I walk down the street. It's going to affect what happens when I go into a restaurant.' I can't even believe I'm saying this, but is this going to affect the next 20 years of my life? As an artist, am I putting a nail in the coffin of my artistic sensibility?

Well, someone certainly expects this film to be a huge success! Or could it be that it will be the worst movie ever made? Only such extremes can validate his comments about changing his life forever and his fear of, as he put it, losing his artistic sensibility. Chill out Renner. At best you are in an action movie about espinoige named after a character that doesn't even feature in the movie.

And if I was offered of millions of dollars to do a movie, I would have sold more than my "artistic sensibility".

Look, I love Renner, even in SWAT...yes I said it. But I am more concerned about the Bourne Franchise than him. Bourne is not not only one of the most successful franchises ever, it also has a claim for one the best action movies. A Bourne movie without Matt Damon (or even Bourne!) will probably do more damage than good to the series.

Hopefully Renner uses his artiistice sesnibility to make sure this doesn't happen
